Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017 - Web Client Enhancements.

Hi Readers,

As we are discussing New Features in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017. Today we will discuss some random changes around application as a whole.

In this article we will see some enhancements in web client.

1.  Web client Lookup to Pages no longer open a New window. Its similar to Windows Client.


2. With NAV 2017 Web Client, we can expand and collapse tabs as in Windows Client.



3. All Dynamics NAV 2017 client have Tool tip to all Fields and Actions in Page.


4. Other Web Client Enhancements - 
  • Expand Collapse Fact-box is possible in Dynamics NAV 2017 Web client.
  • Dynamics NAV 2017 Web Client Support Wizard Page.
  • Dynamics NAV 2017 Web Client Support ESC and F5 Shortcut Keys.
5 . List Page in Web client, Tablet Client and Phone Client have three views to choose from - 
  1. List Page.
  2. Big Thumbnail.
  3. Small Thumbnail. 

Now I feel web client is evolving as a future potential replacement for windows client for Dynamics NAV. Reasons -
  • Lightweight.
  • System Requirement.
  • Microsoft is Bringing Features to web client as of windows client.
